The movie was filmed in Fillmore, CA, Piru, CA, Chattanooga, TN, Chickamauga, GA, and Los Angeles, CA
^ Production trucks ^
^ Production sign from the film that helps the cast and crew find the locations. ^
This one was given a different name (Jerry), so people wouldn't know it was for Water for Elephants.
^ my oh so lovely super-zoom shots *haha* ^
^ Ragged tent and building they got the Rosie the Elephant from ^
^ Benzini Brothers Train ^
These were shots from the fillming in Fillmore, CA.
It was filmed behind a plant store on Sycamore Rd.
They sadly weren't filming this day though...
I saw these at the Fillmore train station, where they also did some filming. Some fans wrote to Robert Pattinson in the dust from this train. *haha*
I also went to the site of the Piru filming, but I didn't have my camera with me... sorry. *haha* But I was able to see the Benzini Brothers Train close up. The other site had a circus tent and a big tent for the cast and crew.
The part filmed in LA was at a studio, which I believe were the town sets.
I also didn't get any shots from Chattanooga, TN, but my relatives did give me a newspaper clipping that I will post later on.
Aaaand... I went to Chickamauga, GA, where they filmed Jacobs and Jacob/Marlena's house!
^ the production crew aged the roof of the house ^
^ The sky is so gorgeous! I love it! ^
I didn't write down the exact address, but this house is located on Cove Rd. in Chickamauga, GA. I went down that road looking for it with only a picture. And let me tell you, this is the longest road in the world! It seriously took hours to find the house. So if you're up for the adventure, leave a lot of time! *haha*
The family that owned this house was actually planning to tear it down. But now that such a big film has been shot there, I have a feeling they won't be doing that anymore. I think it's a really cute house :)
They had just finished filming a few days before I got there :'( *haha* And I promise you I'm not a crazy stalker, 'cause it does seem weird that I would go all the way down there, but it was actually just a coincidence that they happened to be filming there when my family and I went to visit relatives. But it was a really fun trip! :)
Check out this fan's great site on the film!
