Shooting the date scene with Olive (Emma Stone) and Anson (Jake Sandvig)

These are sadly the only pictures I have of the shoots.  For some reason I was stupid and didn't take any of the others I was there for.  But I do have newspaper clippings that I will scan at some point and stories about the filming and I'll go take pictures of the locations in the film. :)  

This particular scene was filmed at the Carrows in Ojai, CA.  It was such a shock to see it transformed to such a fancy looking restaurant! *haha*  And I thought the restaurant's name was so funny: Lobster Shack - Red Lobster and Crab Shack combined.

Also, little side note: the whole movie was actually filmed in Ojai, because the director Will Gluck lives there.  So, I'll drive around one day and take shots of the other locations.

I took my friend to go watch a camera test shoot downtown one day.  It was so cool.  While they weren't filming Emma Stone was walking around talking to someone on her phone.  And my friend and I were just sitting on the bench right near the film crew.  It was an awesome experience to be so close to production like this.  Later on my friend went to watch them film the scene with Amanda Bynes' character Marianne and apparently when she was walking into the bathroom at one point, Amanda Bynes was walking out.  So cool! *haha* She was apparently very nice and took a picture with one of my friend's friend.

I also watched the scene with Aly Michalka's character walking downtown talking on the phone with Emma Stone's character, and saw the filming going on at the Presbyterian Church (Ojai Unified Church of Christ in the movie) and went to the high school during their lunch break and saw Cam Gigandet (who looked at my friends and I weird, probably because we kept walking back and forth looking for the extra casting guy *haha*).  We also saw Aly Michalka, when we accidentally walked through the main actors eating area.  At that point I didn't know she was in the movie, so when I saw her I got a huge smile on my face and she smiled back at me! :D

All in all it was such a fun summer and so cool to be able to walk downtown and see all this going on.  A lot of my friends are in the movie as extras which was so awesome to see on the big screen.  I sadly wasn't able to be in it, because we were never able to locate the extra casting guy ): *haha*

I'll post some more stories if I remember some... Oh!  At the Forth of July parade, the costume designer, Mynka Draper, and her family stood behind us and her son kept dropping flowers on me.  But it was still pretty cool. *haha*  And at one of the shoots I was standing behind Jameson Moss (Evan) and also saw AJ Michalka!
